Waypoint Christian Church Clovis NM
We believe our mission at Waypoint is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. This is the ongoing mission that Christ has given His church throughout the centuries. This mission can be achieved only through Christ’s authority, power, and abiding presence. We desire to be a congregation that walks closely with Jesus and models our fellowship after His character and priorities. We believe there are three vital aspects to making disciples. 1 Gospel-Centeredness (Ezek. 36:22-27, 1 Cor. 10:31, Ps. 127:1, John 15:4-11) In everything we do, we want it to be about who Jesus is, what He has done, and what He will continue to do. As His church, it is our joy to bring glory to God by worshiping and proclaiming Jesus. The gospel is our foundation and guiding point. 2 Transformational Community (Rom. 12, Col. 3:1-4, Heb. 12:1-3, Eph. 4:1-7, Phil. 2:12) At Waypoint we want to meet people where they are but we do not want to leave them where they are. Through Sunday morning Worship Gatherings and weekly Community Groups, we desire to direct people to Christ and want to see their lives transformed by the power of His grace and truth. 3 Visible and Verbal Faith (Eph. 2:8-10, Rom. 10:5-13, Matt. 5:14-16, Mark 10:43-45) We are determined to proclaim Jesus Christ’s life, death, and resurrection through our words and actions. Jesus continually modeled missional behavior by speaking the truth of God and serving those around Him, seeking out those rejected by society, and providing for those in need. We desire to cultivate a heart of service within our congregation for Waypoint’s ministries, ministries of our local community, and the global ministries with whom we have partnered
